There’s lots to think about when preparing to enrol your children at Creative Childcare! This list of frequently asked questions may help. If you have more queries, or would like to speak to us, feel free to visit a centre, or phone 1300 002 927.

Does Childcare Make a Difference to Early Children's Development?

Children's development in their early years is critical. Young children should be exposed to high-quality childhood development programs and social learning environments. These programs can help to develop vital and critical skills that will be used as the social and educational building blocks for the future. Some of the major benefits of early childhood development programs include children building skills in areas of confidence, relationship development, participation and contribution, problem solving, language and communication, emotional regulation and empathy.

    What does Creative Childcare supply?

At Creative Childcare we supply morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, late snacks, sun cream, wipes, nappies and cot sheets.

What should parents bring into the centres?

Please pack a bag or back pack with some spare clothes, shoes or sneakers (not thongs please) a drink bottle with water only, a hat, bottles and formula and any comforters your child may need.

Why should we go to a long day care over a preschool?

Long Day Care and Preschool are very similar, the difference is that we are open from 7am - 6pm at Kotara and 6.30am starts for Hunter and Hamilton. We run school readiness programs and the children at Creative Childcare get the opportunity to participate in lots of other free play activities.

How will I know how much my child has eaten today?

Creative Childcare uses the OWNA platform, this allows families to log on and see what their children have eaten, drank, slept and their nappy changes. This is all updated in real time so as soon as our educators update the information you will be able to see.

What does a day within a Creative Childcare Centre look like?

We start our mornings and end our evenings within a family grouping setting, allowing all the children to be within one room. Children are then taken into their rooms for the day, a typical day involves, music, movement, arts, and crafts. We have activities planned based on the children’s interests and family goals. All the children’s care practices are completed here, which we find is the perfect time for that special 1 on 1 bonding time.

My child has allergies, do I need to provide my own food?

No, all the chefs at Creative Childcare are able to cater for all children and their dietary requirements.

How much will my fees cost after the childcare subsidy?

If you email one of our service Directors we will ask you a few questions so we can give you a rough quote, alternatively you can check here Child Care Subsidy Calculator.

My child has a rough time falling asleep, how can you manage this?

At Creative Childcare we pride ourselves on the relationships that we build with children and their families. We will happily discuss with families on how they put their children to sleep and we try to cater to these as much as possible. Children in our older rooms have the choice to sleep and are offered beds if they decide too.

Do you have minimum booking days?

No we don’t and we also offer casuals days in addition to your enrolled days if availability permits.

What qualifications do your educators have?

Our employees are a mixture of Certificate III Diplomas and ECT’s. All educators have up to date First Aid along with continued professional development.

How can I help my child settle in?

We offer orientation sessions prior to their start date. This allows time for getting to know the educators and surroundings. On your child’s first day we recommend always saying goodbye with a smile. You are welcome to call anytime to check how your child is settling in.
